Beginning November 2nd and continuing through December, Heritage Hall will showcase local artists who will be selling their wares at Heritage Hall's Market where you'll find everything from local honey to fine art. Make plans to drop by and mark off some names on your Christmas list!
Also, beginning November 2nd, several area Talladega establishments will be having Christmas Open Houses: LMo& Co, Pigeon's Roost, TB Turner Interior Designs, Townsend's and The Knackatory. Shop on Friday from 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. for great bargains, refreshments and door prizes.
The Artist Spotlight at LMo &Co is on Nettie Bean Friday evening, November 2nd from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. The public is invited. Refreshments and beverages will be served.
Talladega College's Founder's Day Parade is Saturday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. That night, the celebration continues at the Talladega Superspeedway Dome with a banquet featuring baseball's Hall of Famer Hank Aaron as the guest speaker and musical guest Eric Benet. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 10th for our annual Veterans' Day Parade. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and follow a route from the old Winn-Dixie Shopping Center, around the square and end at the courthouse for the program.
Talladega's Christmas Parade is scheduled for Monday, December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. Applications will be available at the Chamber and on our website www.talladegachamber.com.
Lincoln's Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 8th at 4:30 p.m. Applications will be available at the Chamber office and from Lincoln Parks and Rec. There is no fee to enter. Contact Lincoln Parks and Rec, 205-763-1562, for more info.
The Talladega Business Associates will meet on Wednesday, November 7th at noon in the Conference Room at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Peggy Mann, Director of the American Red Cross will be the speaker. There is no charge-just buy your meal and enjoy the speaker and networking with other business professionals.
While the Lincoln Business Associates usually meet on the last Wednesday of each month, in November they will meet on Thursday, November 15th for their annual meeting at Drew Middle School to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. In lieu of a speaker, you will have the opportunity to tour the school. The meal is $3.25. Reservations are required but if you haven't made one yet, check with Tina Seals (205-763-0950) to see if there are spots available.
Friday, November 9th at 7:30 p.m.-The Heart behind the Music: A Songwriter's Showcase will feature four artists, Teddy Gentry, Billy Dean, Lenny LeBlanc and Sam Hunt performing country, gospel and popular music hits. One performance only.

Get in shape for the holidays! For the months of November and December, Zumba classes are free every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at the Spring Street Rec. Instructor Karen Allen teaches at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and Celeni Sasser teaches Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
The Classic Car Club and FIRST Family Services will team up again this year for their annual Toys for Christmas Cruise-In. The annual event, featuring classic cars and tunes from the 50's and 60's, will be in the Chamber parking lot, 210 East Street, South in Talladega from 9:00 - 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 10th. Admission is an unwrapped toy or $10 donation.
FIRST Family Services in Talladega invites you to experience The Polar Express on Friday, December 14th at the Historic Ritz Theatre. Doors for this special event open at 6:15 p.m. and the ticket price ($10) includes pre-event activities and hot chocolate and cookies after the movie. Passengers are encouraged to wear their pajamas.
